From source drawing to BMS model
Keep the useful building information.
Plan2PX is designed for the awkward part between receiving a consultant’s DWG and starting the BMS graphics. It interprets the drawing, shows the engineer what it trusts and provides the tools to correct what still needs human judgement.
Interpret and clean the DWG
Plan2PX separates likely walls, rooms, doors, stairs, labels and useful mechanical geometry from title blocks, furniture, ceiling detail and duplicated drawing noise. Nested references and drawing layers are normalised before the building geometry is reconstructed.
The aim is not simply to hide layers—it is to create editable geometry that still relates back to the source drawing.
Review confidence, not a black box
Detected elements are classified as confirmed, strongly inferred, weakly inferred, manual or rejected, with their source evidence retained. Confident geometry can move forward while uncertain walls, rooms and doors are held for review.
The existing review workflow lets the engineer accept, correct, redraw or reject uncertain items rather than trusting an unexplained automatic result.
Edit the 2D and 3D building
Refine wall positions, room boundaries, openings and building details in the editable plan, then inspect the same information as a 3D PlanModel. Room names, numbers, colours, heights and labels can be prepared around the real project.
BMS points and room sensors can be associated with the model so the output is useful as a controls graphic, not just an architectural viewer.
Prepare the BMS front-end package
Export the finished building as a lightweight web-based 2D/3D viewer with its model and point-mapping information kept together. The package is designed to sit within IQVISION, Niagara or another supported web-capable BMS front end.
This gives the engineer an editable route from the original DWG to a usable operational graphic without manually redrawing the entire building.
